About Fiona Casey (M.I.S.C.P BSc Physio.)

Fiona is a native of  Ballymacahill, Roslevan in Ennis, Co. Clare. She qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1997. She has worked extensively in both public and private healthcare settings. She has worked in large teaching hospitals in the UK and has also worked within a sports specific clinics in Australia.  Fiona has worked in a prominent private practice in Cork city from 2002-2010, where her experience has included working with professional and semi-professional  athletes in many fields including minor, underage and senior levels.  She was the head physiotherapist with Cork Constitution Rugby team from 2003-2008.  She has worked across all sporting backgrounds including the GAA,  the  FAI,  Munster rugby and the IRFU.

Fiona specialises in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries with a  specific interest in shoulder problems, post injury and post surgery. Having extensive experience in treating acute and chronic back pain, Fiona  has gained the necessary post graduate training to incorporate clinical pilates into rehabilitation and treatment of back, neck and shoulder pain. Fiona has also had extensive post graduate neurological,  paediatric and biomechanical training and will assess and provide orthotic intervention only when indicated.

Fiona has a particular clinical interest in prehabilitation and injury pre screening. She believes that appropriate exercise is the key to successful rehabilitation.  Fiona has established herself as a manual therapist and is practising in the Roslevan shopping Centre since 2010 where she looks forward to providing professional consultation and treatment.

Your recovery will be advanced from her physiotherapy experience,   including manual therapy, dry needling, Pilates  and many other potential solutions to assist your recovery.

As a chartered  physiotherapist Fiona is committed to continuing professional development through regular course attendance and clinical education.
